New extensions for Siemens, KUKA, EtherCAT and OMRON

The latest enhancements provide new functions for integrating Siemens PLCSIM Advanced, KUKA simulation environments, EtherCAT and OMRON Sysmac Studio. This further expands existing workflows in virtual commissioning, robot simulation and fieldbus emulation.

The focus is particularly on support for the latest simulation versions, enhanced coupling options for robot applications, and high-performance EtherCAT emulation with minimal jitter.

Highlights:

  • Support for PLCSIM Advanced V8.0 Update 1
WinMOD now supports A756 SIMATIC S7-PLCSIM Advanced V8.0 Update 1. This means that the utilization of the integration of virtual Siemens controllers in current PLCSIM Advanced environments can continue to be achieved and integrated into existing simulation and test processes.
  • Enhanced integration options for KUKA simulations
With KU200, customers can now KUKA.OfficeLite, KUKA.Sim, iiQWorks.Sim and Visual Components link. This allows robot and plant models to be integrated more flexibly into virtual commissioning scenarios and utilized in conjunction with WinMOD.
  • High-performance EtherCAT emulation with ServerUnit Pro
For the C250, WinMOD offers the ServerUnit Pro High-performance EtherCAT emulation with minimal jitter. This makes our EtherCAT emulation suitable even for extremely demanding real-time and simulation applications, e.g. for EtherCAT Distributed Clocks.
  • Extension in the Sysmac Studio exporter
The Sysmac Studio Exporter It now also supports revisions of projects where the description is blank. This enables the relevant project statuses to be processed more reliably and integrated into existing export workflows.

If you have any questions about the new features, possible applications or WinMOD V8, our support team will be happy to assist you as usual.
