With WinMOD Build 82 SP5 further optimisations are available for interfaces, import functions, setup and project archiving. The update improves existing workflows for PLCSIM Advanced, PROFINET, Rockwell Automation, B&R as well as the export and preparation of existing projects for WinMOD V8.
Highlights:
- WinMOD V7.2 Project archiving for WinMOD V8
- Build 82 SP5 extends project archiving. This means that existing WinMOD V7.2 Projects more reliable for WinMOD V8 prepare.
- In WinMOD V7.2 there are local operands in .sim files. As WinMOD V8 no longer uses this form, it exports File → Archive project... local operands now with the symbol prefix „local“.
- WinMOD V7.2 also identifies operands by means of Symbol, address and data type. WinMOD V8, on the other hand, utilises the Symbol. This is why WinMOD now automatically resolves possible ambiguities when archiving.
- In WinMOD V7.2, users could define spaces for macro inputs and macro outputs in macros. From WinMOD V8.0.0.82 SP5 stands for the Connection gap available.
- Therefore exports File → Archive project... now also includes blanks from macros. Please use for this WinMOD V8.0.0.82 SP5 or newer.
- In addition File → Archive project... with BTF_01 now issues an incompatibility warning if the block is recognised as a Monoflop retriggerable was parameterised.
- In addition, the function Remove operands → Remove local operands is available. This allows local operands to be removed from simulation elements in a more targeted manner.
- In the context menu of the I300, you can now use „Export Configuration...“ a file transfer to WinMOD V8 available. This makes it easier to transfer existing configurations to current WinMOD projects and then continue to use them.
- WinMOD V7.2 + V8.0 Library package Lib_Libs (Library of Libraries) for KUKA iiQWorksSim new library templates are also available:
- KU200_template 4096 binary
- KU200_template 256x WORD
WinMOD thus extends the available templates for corresponding KUKA simulation environments.

The setup provides the required Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime 8.0.27 directly. This reduces the manual installation effort because the required runtime environment is directly available via the setup. - Coupling PLCSIM Advanced and PROFINET emulation
The WinMOD Exporter TIA Openness has been optimised so that a compatibility problem at startup has been resolved. This means that the export can be used more stably in corresponding Siemens and PROFINET environments. - Direct access to tags and Logix Echo
In WinMOD COMOD a compatibility problem at startup has been fixed. This affects the menu items:
Import → Rockwell Automation → Direct access to tags... and Import → Rockwell Automation → Logix Echo...
This means that these functions can be used reliably again.
