Process libraries

Our process library includes pipelines, fittings, measuring instruments, sensors, appliances, machines, gearbox and mechanics. Standardised building blocks enable efficient workflows, high reusability and scalability up to complex automation processes – all in real time.

FlowT

The WinMOD FlowTlibrary package enables comprehensive simulation of material flows for liquids, gases and bulk solids. It combines basic and specialised modules that can be combined depending on the application:

  • Basic - forms the basis for pipeline and transport simulations with tanks, valves, pumps and sensors.
  • temperatures – Thermal behaviour, including heat exchangers, thermal masses and heat sources.
  • Conveyor belts - provides conveyor belts and screw conveyors and allows realistic representation of transport processes.
  • pressure - supplements pressure-dependent flow behaviour, pump characteristics and overflows.
  • moisture - enables the simulation of humidity, from air conditioning to drying in industrial processes.
  • thermodynamics - supplies components for thermodynamic gas processes, compressors, turbines and evaporation and condensation processes.

Thanks to its modular architecture, the spectrum ranges from simple, unidirectional flows to detailed hydro- and thermodynamic models. FlowT is therefore the universal basis for realistic process simulations in numerous industries.

physics

These libraries form the foundation for all physical modelling in WinMOD. They provide a consistent basis of units, constants, formulas and models on which all other libraries are built.

  • units - provides an extensive collection of internal analogue formats for physical quantities such as time, mass, angle, speed or volume.
  • constants - provides physical constants and material properties, from density to heat capacity, as well as associated formulae and calculation methods.
  • Formulary - offers a practical collection of relevant physics formulas, sorted by topic or result variable for quick access.
  • Heat transfer - enables realistic calculation of heat transfer and heat flow, from simple standard models to expert parameters with Nusselt and Prandtl numbers.

Our physics libraries thus ensure precise, efficient and reusable simulations for a wide variety of projects and industries.

Gearbox and mechanics

These libraries provide interfaces for physical simulation or 3D visualisation. They translate percentage signals from drives into physical variables such as speed and position and thus ensure realistic coupling of drives with mechanics.

The basis of every automation project is actuators (drives) and sensors (measuring devices), for which we provide extensive libraries.
