§ 1 Collection and storage of personal data
Personal data is individual information about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person, such as your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, bank details and IP address.
When you use our websites, the following data is logged, whereby storage is used exclusively for internal system-related and statistical purposes: names of the pages accessed, the browser used, the operating system and the requesting domain, date and time of access, search engines used, names of downloaded files and your IP address. All data relating to usage, in particular your IP address, will be deleted at the latest after the expiry of the statutory periods. Further personal information is only collected if you provide it to us voluntarily, for example in the context of an enquiry or registration. We require you to register in order to use our internet portal. This involves requesting all the data we need to execute and process orders: your full name or company name, along with the name of the authorised representative(s), your email address, your address (billing address and, if applicable, a different delivery address) and, if necessary, your telephone number (e.g. if a delivery date needs to be agreed at short notice). You must also choose a user name and password; both of these will make it easier for you to log in without having to re-enter your details. We store the data you enter to set up a customer account, which we use to record, execute and process your orders. We retain your data for further orders (registration) as long as you maintain your registration. You have the right to access, correct and delete your registration data at any time. We will delete your registration with us in accordance with legal requirements. Handling of applicant data: Applicant data is only stored by us for the application process and is then deleted in accordance with legal requirements.
Section 2 Use, disclosure and deletion of personal data
We use the personal data you provide to respond to your enquiries, process your order and for the technical administration of the websites.
Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of contract processing or billing, or for the collection of payment, or if you have expressly consented to this. It may also be necessary for us to pass on your address and order details to suppliers if the delivery is made directly from the factory to you. Our suppliers only receive the information necessary to perform their respective tasks. Any other use of the information is not permitted. We are also entitled to pass on personal data for debt collection purposes. If we make advance payments in connection with an order (e.g. when purchasing on account), we can only have the identity and creditworthiness of customers checked by a service provider.
Furthermore, we do not rule out the possibility of transferring anonymised usage data for market research purposes. In this case, it is not possible to identify users. We would like to point out that, in individual cases, we are entitled to provide information on data to provide information about data if this is necessary for the purposes of criminal prosecution, for averting danger by the police authorities of the federal states, for fulfilling the statutory tasks of the federal and state constitutional protection authorities, the Federal Intelligence Service or the Military Counter-Intelligence Service, or for enforcing intellectual property rights.
